Castle Crashers is a 2D arcade adventure (“Beat’em up”) game with RPG elements. Like the other games from this indie developer (“The Behemoth”), the visuals of Castle Crashers have a specific cartoony art style and the gameplay is filled with many comical elements.

Though rather crude, the humor of this game is pretty striking and makes the game even more enjoyable. Another remarkable aspect about Castle Crashers is its co-op mode that lets you join your friends in battles and have even more fun.

Basically, in Castle Crashers you control one of the 4 characters of the game and hack-and-slash your way towards fulfilling the given quests. There are all kinds of attribute and item upgrades, collectible pets and weapons, bosses and additional game events like races or special fights, and so on. The game comes packed with plenty of interesting and captivating content that will please all avid gamers.

To sum it all up, you don’t have to be a fan of melee 2D combat platforms to like this game as well, as it’s packed with truly funny moments, its RPG elements make it quite addictive, and the co-op mode offers delightful experiences. Castle Crashers is really worth having.
